Diane Von Furstenberg

As an apprentice for DVF design studio for 5 seasons; I held many hats. My main tasks included cadding print combinations for collection looks, sewing mock-ups, research, creating embellishment designs and embellishing garments, assisting with styling on shoots and dressing models.

For this Collection, I constructed several embroidery placements to send to the factory for development; as well as cad up print placement for a couple of the styles pictured.

In this project for DVF i played a major part in the Embellishment of this dress for the Met Ball Gala 2015. Me and a team of other interns hotfixed all the corded lace flowers we cut out of the fabric and then helped hand sew the appliques onto the dress.
For this Trans collection I did most of the print placement in the looks pictured. The two dresses in the illustration I designed and patterned out the pieces for the collection. They were not shot for the collection in the end but the creative director Michael Hertz kept them as apart of his personal archive for DVF.

Besides adding print placements; during this collection, I got the opportunity to assist in styling looks for the models. In addition, I also dressed the models .
